What first comes to mind when you think about supporting yourself as yourself as a woman in Perimenopause?
HRT?
Diet and exercise perhaps?
Ummm nothing……
For most women that I talk to they haven’t really thought about it and it’s only when their symptoms become unbearable that they start to look for options to support themselves.
Perimenopause…. Your transitional period to Menopause is when your symptoms are at their peak. And unfortunately no two women experience Perimenopause in the same way, with the same symptoms. That’s why it’s important that you take responsibility for your wellbeing and build a holistic toolkit that meets you wherever you’re at during this often turbulent transitional period.
HRT is usually the first port of call.
And whilst HRT can be hugely beneficial for many women, it’s not a silver bullet to manage all your symptoms and not for every woman (nor is every woman suitable for it).
One powerful, yet lesser-known tool is Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH). It combines hypnotherapy with cognitive behavioural strategies to help alleviate common symptoms like hot flashes, anxiety, and sleep disturbances. CBH promotes lasting positive changes, helping you feel more calm, confident and in control.
From reducing hot flashes and anxiety levels to boosting self esteem and getting better sleep, hypnotherapy (especially when combined with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) can help alleviate Perimenopause symptoms and bring about positive change that lasts, leaving you feeling relaxed and giving you back control over the way you feel.
